## Summary

Synchronization of chaos is the phenomenon in which two or more coupled chaotic systems come to follow the same motion, or related motions.
This happens although each of them alone is sensitive to initial conditions.
The simplest kind is complete synchronization of identical systems, where the difference of the states tends to zero.
Other kinds are phase synchronization and generalized synchronization.
The phenomenon was studied by Fujisaka and Yamada in 1983 and made widely known by Pecora and Carroll in 1990.
It has applications to the modelling of coupled lasers, neurons and electronic circuits.

## Explanations

### L1 human

Two [[chaotic|DBKXCGDKTD]] systems started at slightly different points quickly move apart.
That seems to rule out any agreement between them.
But if they are coupled, each one being pulled a little towards the other, the coupling can win and the two can move together forever, still in a chaotic way.
For example, two identical electronic circuits that each produce chaotic signals can be wired so that their signals become identical.
