Integral transforms, operational calculus Mellin transform Concept

Function having a given Mellin transform

Summary

A function ff on (0,∞)(0, \infty) has Mellin transform mm at a point ss when the integral ∫0∞xs−1f(x) dx\int_0^\infty x^{s-1} f(x) \, dx converges absolutely and its value is mm. The notion bundles the Mellin convergence of ff at ss with the value of the Mellin transform. It is convenient in proofs, because a formula such as ℳf(s)=Γ(s)\mathcal{M}f(s) = \Gamma(s) then carries its convergence claim with it.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
