Gegenbauer transform

Summary

The Gegenbauer transform is a finite integral transform on [−1,1][-1, 1]. It sends a function to its integrals against the Gegenbauer polynomials CnλC_n^{\lambda} with the weight (1−x2)λ−1/2(1 - x^2)^{\lambda - 1/2}. It is the symmetric case α=β\alpha = \beta of the Jacobi transform, up to constant factors. It turns the Gegenbauer differential operator into multiplication by −n(n+2λ)-n(n + 2\lambda). For λ=1/2\lambda = 1/2 it is the Legendre transform.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
