Multidimensional Z-transform

Summary

The multidimensional Z-transform sends a sequence indexed by ℤn\Z^n to a Laurent series in nn complex variables z1,…,znz_1, \dots, z_n. It is the discrete analogue of the multidimensional Laplace transform and the nn-variable form of the Z-transform. It is used to analyze multidimensional digital filters, for example filters acting on images. Its region of convergence depends only on the moduli ∣zj∣\abs{z_j}. Its image under z↦(log⁡∣z1∣,…,log⁡∣zn∣)z \mapsto (\log\abs{z_1}, \dots, \log\abs{z_n}) is convex, and it plays the role of the annulus of the one-variable case.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
