Definition
Let be open, and let . Let be a locally bounded plurisubharmonic function on , and let be a closed positive current of bidegree on , with . The coefficients of are measures and is locally bounded and Borel, so is a well defined current. The Bedford–Taylor product is the current where is taken in the sense of currents. For locally bounded plurisubharmonic functions on , with , the product is defined by induction: In particular is the Monge–Ampère measure of .
Remarks
The main facts of the theory are these. The product is again a closed positive current, which makes the induction possible. When the are of class the product agrees with the wedge product of smooth forms, so agrees with the complex Monge–Ampère operator. If decreases to as , for each , then the products of the converge weakly to the product of the . The product is symmetric in . Example: for and , is the Riesz measure of the subharmonic function , which is defined for every subharmonic . Non-example: the definition does not apply to on , which is not locally bounded. For unbounded plurisubharmonic functions in general, cannot be defined as a measure with good continuity properties.
