Calderón–Zygmund kernel

Summary

A Calderón–Zygmund kernel is a function K(x,y)K(x, y) on ℝn×ℝn\R^n \times \R^n off the diagonal. It is at most of size ∣x−y∣−n\abs{x - y}^{-n}, and it is smooth in a quantitative way away from the diagonal. These are the kernels of the singular integral operators of Calderón–Zygmund theory, such as the Hilbert and Riesz transforms. The size and smoothness conditions are what turn an L2L^2 bound into LpL^p bounds for 1<p<∞1 < p < \infty.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
