Riesz transform

Summary

The Riesz transforms R1,…,RnR_1, \ldots, R_n are the nn singular integral operators on ℝn\R^n with Fourier multipliers −iξj/∣ξ∣-i\xi_j/\abs{\xi}. They are the higher-dimensional analogue of the Hilbert transform, which is the case n=1n = 1. They express second derivatives through the Laplacian, by ∂j∂k=−RjRkΔ\partial_j\partial_k = -R_j R_k \Delta, so their LpL^p bounds give LpL^p estimates for elliptic equations. They are bounded on Lp(ℝn)L^p(\R^n) for 1<p<∞1 < p < \infty and commute with translations and dilations.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
