Convolution power
Summary
The -th convolution power of a function or measure is the convolution of copies of . It is the analogue of the ordinary power when the product is convolution. If is the density of a random variable , then is the density of the sum of independent copies of . Under the Fourier transform, becomes the ordinary power .
