Definition
Let be a compact metric space and let be a continuous map. The system is equicontinuous if the family is equicontinuous. Since is compact, this means uniform equicontinuity: for every there is with for all and all with .
Remarks
For a homeomorphism one often asks the same of the family . Example: every isometry is equicontinuous with , since ; for instance the rotation of the circle. Non-example: the doubling map on the circle . Given , take and with , and let be the first integer with . Then lies in , at distance at least from , so the condition fails for .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
