Floor function

Summary

The floor function sends a real number xx to the greatest integer that is less than or equal to xx. We write ⌊x⌋\lfloor x \rfloor for it. For example, ⌊2.7⌋=2\lfloor 2.7 \rfloor = 2 and ⌊−2.7⌋=−3\lfloor -2.7 \rfloor = -3.
