Ceiling function

Summary

The ceiling function sends a real number xx to the least integer that is greater than or equal to xx. We write ⌈x⌉\lceil x \rceil for it. For example, ⌈2.3⌉=3\lceil 2.3 \rceil = 3 and ⌈−2.3⌉=−2\lceil -2.3 \rceil = -2.
