Holomorphic automorphisms of C^n
Definition
Let . A holomorphic automorphism of is a bijective holomorphic map whose inverse is also holomorphic. In other words, it is a biholomorphism of onto itself. The set of these maps, with composition as the operation, is the group .
Remarks
Example: for an entire function on , the shear is an automorphism of . It is holomorphic, and is holomorphic with . Invertible affine maps , with an invertible complex matrix, are automorphisms as well.
Non-example: is holomorphic on but not injective, since for all .
For a holomorphic map, bijectivity already implies that the inverse is holomorphic, so the last condition is automatic.
