Kuranishi family

Summary

The Kuranishi family of a compact complex manifold XX is a semi-universal deformation of XX. Every small deformation of XX is pulled back from it, and the pullback map is unique to first order. Kuranishi constructed it in 1962 over a germ of complex analytic space, the Kuranishi space. That space is the zero set of a holomorphic obstruction map from a neighbourhood of 00 in H1(X,ΘX)H^1(X, \Theta_X) to H2(X,ΘX)H^2(X, \Theta_X). It is the local model for moduli of compact complex manifolds.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
