Lattice homomorphism
Builds on LatticeJoin and meetMonotone function
Definition
Let and be lattices. A lattice homomorphism is a map such that, for all :
- ;
- .
If and are bounded lattices, a bounded lattice homomorphism also satisfies and .
Remarks
A lattice homomorphism is monotone: if then , so , that is, . A bijective lattice homomorphism is a lattice isomorphism, and its inverse is again a lattice homomorphism. A bijection between lattices is a lattice isomorphism exactly when it and its inverse are monotone. Example: every monotone map between two chains is a lattice homomorphism, since join and meet in a chain are and , and monotone maps preserve both. Non-example: let , a lattice under in which . The inclusion map of into the power set of is monotone and preserves meets. It fails clause 1, because the join of and in the power set is .

- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
