Linear congruential generator
Summary
A linear congruential generator is a pseudorandom number generator whose state is an integer modulo , updated by an affine map . It is one of the oldest and simplest generators, and its period and lattice structure can be analysed completely with elementary number theory. Its weaknesses, such as short periods of the low-order bits and points lying on few hyperplanes, made it a classic lesson in generator design.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
