Locale

Summary

A locale is a generalized topological space described only by its lattice of "open sets", which is a frame. Maps of locales go in the opposite direction to frame homomorphisms, just as a continuous map pulls open sets back. Every topological space gives a locale, and for sober spaces the space can be recovered from it. Locales are the objects of pointless topology.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
