n-term approximation
Summary
-term approximation approximates a function or vector by a linear combination of at most elements. These elements are chosen freely from a fixed family, called a dictionary, such as a basis. The best error with terms, , measures how well can be compressed with respect to that dictionary. The set of -term combinations is not a linear space, so this is a basic model of nonlinear approximation. It underlies wavelet compression, sparse approximation and greedy algorithms such as matching pursuit.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
