Oriented angle
Builds on Euclidean planeAngle between two vectors
Definition
Let and be nonzero vectors in the Euclidean plane . Let and . The oriented angle from to is the class modulo of each real number with For points , and of with and , the oriented angle is the oriented angle from to .
Remarks
Such a exists because . It is unique modulo .
Swapping the vectors changes the sign: the oriented angle from to is minus the oriented angle from to .
The unoriented angle between and is the absolute value of the representative of the oriented angle in .
Mathlib's EuclideanGeometry.oangle works in each oriented Euclidean plane, with values in . It gives when a vector is zero.
