Polar polytope

Summary

Let PP be a convex polytope with the origin in its interior. Its polar polytope is the set P∘P^\circ of vectors yy with x⋅y≤1x \cdot y \le 1 for all x∈Px \in P. It is again a convex polytope, and taking the polar twice gives back PP. Polarity reverses the order of faces: vertices of PP correspond to facets of P∘P^\circ and facets of PP to vertices of P∘P^\circ. It turns simple polytopes into simplicial polytopes and back, and it is the geometric form of the dual polyhedron.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
