Young's lattice
Example
Young's lattice is the set of all integer partitions , including the empty partition. It is ordered by when for all , that is, when the Young diagram of fits inside that of .
It is a distributive lattice. The meet and join are and , the intersection and union of the diagrams. Both are again weakly decreasing sequences, and and distribute over each other.
It is a graded poset with rank function . Indeed, covers exactly when the diagram of is that of with one more box.
Remarks
The saturated chains from to add one box at a time, so they correspond to the standard Young tableaux of shape . For there are two of them: and . The partitions of form the rank level, and their number is the partition number .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
