Affine group

Summary

The affine group of an affine space is the group of all its invertible affine maps. On FnF^n these are the maps x↦Ax+bx \mapsto Ax + b with AA an invertible matrix and bb a vector. It is the semidirect product of the translations and the general linear group. In the Erlangen program, it is the group that defines affine geometry.
