Domain

Builds on Function

Definition

Let f ⁣:A→Bf \colon A \to B be a function. The domain of ff is the set AA.

Remarks

The function ff has a value f(a)f(a) for each aa in its domain. In calculus, the natural domain of a formula is the largest set of real numbers where the formula has a meaning. For 1/x1/x, it is ℝ∖{0}\mathbb{R} \setminus \{0\}.

Each page uses the pages above it. The colour of the bar on a box shows how strong the evidence is, and the box also gives it as text. The list has the same pages.

What this page needs for W2

  • edge instance_of in: one example (0 of 1)
  • edge not_instance_of in: one non-example that fails one clause (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
