Functions of a complex variable Function spaces and the unit disc Concept
Hardy space
Summary
Let . The Hardy space of the unit disc is the space of holomorphic functions whose means over the circles stay bounded as . For it is a Banach space, and is the Hilbert space of power series with . By Fatou's theorem, functions in have boundary values almost everywhere on the circle. So can be seen as a subspace of of the circle. Hardy spaces connect complex analysis with Fourier analysis and operator theory, through inner functions, Blaschke products and Toeplitz operators.
