Martin kernel

Summary

The Martin kernel of a domain is the Green's function normalised by its value at a fixed reference point: M(x,y)=G(x,y)/G(x0,y)M(x, y) = G(x, y) / G(x_0, y). As the pole yy runs to the boundary, the functions M(⋅,y)M(\cdot, y) accumulate at positive harmonic functions. These limits are the points of the Martin boundary. For a ball, the limits are the Poisson kernels, so the Martin kernel generalises the Poisson kernel to arbitrary domains.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
