Order polynomial
Summary
The order polynomial of a finite poset counts the order-preserving maps from to a chain with elements, as a function of . This count is a polynomial in of degree , and its leading coefficient is the number of linear extensions of divided by . It was introduced by Richard Stanley, who proved a reciprocity theorem linking it to the count of strictly order-preserving maps.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
