Pentagon lattice N5
Builds on LatticeModular lattice
Example
The pentagon lattice has five elements . Its order is generated by and , and is incomparable to and to . Every pair of elements has a least upper bound and a greatest lower bound, so is a lattice. For instance and .
is not a modular lattice. Take and . Then , while .
Remarks
By Dedekind's characterization, a lattice is modular exactly when it has no sublattice isomorphic to . Since every distributive lattice is modular, is also not distributive. The Hasse diagram of is a pentagon, which gives the lattice its name.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
