Stochastic difference equation

Summary

A stochastic difference equation is a difference equation driven by random inputs, such as Xn+1=f(Xn,ξn+1)X_{n+1} = f(X_n, \xi_{n+1}) with a sequence of random noise terms ξn\xi_n. Its solution is a stochastic process in discrete time rather than a single sequence. The autoregressive model of time series analysis and the random walk are the basic linear examples. When the noise terms are independent of each other and of the start, the solution is a Markov chain.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
