Sumudu transform
Definition
Let be continuous, and assume that is of exponential order: there are constants and with for all . The Sumudu transform of is the function given by for , and for all when .
Remarks
The integral converges absolutely, since and . At one gets . For the substitution gives , where is the Laplace transform of . So every rule for the Laplace transform has a Sumudu counterpart; for example, the transform of is when is continuous and of exponential order.
Example: with . Then for and . Also gives .
Non-example: is not of exponential order, and diverges for every .
