Whitney C-infinity topology
Summary
The Whitney topology, also called the strong topology, is a topology on the set of smooth maps between smooth manifolds. Two maps are close in it when their values and derivatives up to some order are close at every point. The allowed error may shrink towards infinity. It is the standard topology in which one says that a property of maps is generic, stable or open. With it, is a Baire space, which makes transversality arguments work.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
