Bromwich integral

Summary

The Bromwich integral is the complex line integral 12πi∫γ−i∞γ+i∞estF(s) ds\frac{1}{2 \pi i} \int_{\gamma - i \infty}^{\gamma + i \infty} e^{s t} F(s) \, ds along a vertical line Re⁡s=γ\operatorname{Re} s = \gamma in the half-plane where a Laplace transform FF is defined. It is the standard integral formula for the inverse Laplace transform: under mild conditions it returns the function ff with ℒ{f}=F\mathcal{L}\{f\} = F. It also opens the way to computing inverse transforms by contour integration and residues.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
