Number theory Fact

Fibonacci recurrence

Builds on Fibonacci sequence

Statement

Let nn be a natural number, and let FmF_m be the Fibonacci numbers. Then Fn+2=Fn+1+Fn.F_{n+2} = F_{n+1} + F_n.

Remarks

With the values F0=0F_0 = 0 and F1=1F_1 = 1, the recurrence determines the whole sequence. The recurrence extends to negative indices with F−n=(−1)n+1FnF_{-n} = (-1)^{n+1} F_n.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
