Integral equations Iteration and the resolvent kernel Concept

Iterated kernel

Summary

The iterated kernels of a kernel KK are the kernels K1=KK_1 = K, K2K_2, K3K_3, ... of the powers of its integral operator. They are defined by Kn(x,s)=∫abK(x,t)Kn−1(t,s) dtK_{n}(x, s) = \int_a^b K(x, t) K_{n-1}(t, s) \, dt, the continuous analogue of matrix powers. They are the terms of the Liouville–Neumann series and of the resolvent kernel. Their growth in nn decides for which λ\lambda these series converge.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
