Rademacher functions

Summary

The Rademacher functions r1,r2,…r_1, r_2, \dots on [0,1)[0, 1) are square waves that record the binary digits of a point. The value rk(t)r_k(t) is 11 or −1-1 according as the kk-th binary digit of tt is 00 or 11. They form an orthonormal system in L2([0,1))L^2([0, 1)) which is not complete. For Lebesgue measure they are independent random signs, so they model coin tossing inside analysis. Their finite products are the Walsh functions.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
