Weak-type estimate
Summary
A weak-type estimate bounds the measure of the set where is larger than , instead of bounding a norm of . An operator is of weak type if this measure is at most . Equivalently, maps boundedly into the weak Lp space . Such estimates are the natural substitute for bounds, which often fail, for maximal functions and singular integrals. By the Marcinkiewicz interpolation theorem, two weak-type estimates give strong bounds for all exponents in between.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
