Hypergeometric series

Summary

The Gauss hypergeometric series is the power series ∑n≥0(a)n(b)n(c)nznn!\sum_{n \ge 0} \frac{(a)_n (b)_n}{(c)_n} \frac{z^n}{n!}, written 2F1(a,b;c;z){}_2F_1(a, b; c; z), where (x)n(x)_n is the rising factorial. The ratio of consecutive coefficients is a rational function of nn, of degree 22 over degree 22. Many elementary functions are special cases, and its sum on the unit disc is the starting point of the hypergeometric function.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
