It is a measure-preserving transformation for Lebesgue measure . The preimage of an arc is an arc of the same length, and arcs generate the Borel sets.
It is ergodic: let with , with Fourier coefficients . Then for all . Since for , one gets for , so is constant almost everywhere.
It is even uniquely ergodic, and every orbit is dense in . By Weyl's equidistribution theorem every orbit is equidistributed.
It is not weakly mixing: is a nonconstant eigenfunction of the Koopman operator, with eigenvalue . Its Kolmogorov–Sinai entropy is . If is rational in lowest terms, then is the identity and is not ergodic.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
