Lipschitz maps are uniformly continuous
Statement
Let and be metric spaces and let be a Lipschitz map. Then is uniformly continuous.
Remarks
Proof: let be a Lipschitz constant of . For , take . If , then . If is Lipschitz with , then is constant. The converse fails: on is uniformly continuous, but it is not Lipschitz. In particular, each Lipschitz map is continuous.
