Interior operator
Builds on Partial order
Definition
Let be a partially ordered set. An interior operator on is a map such that, for all :
- (deflationary);
- if , then (monotone);
- (idempotent).
An element with is open.
Remarks
Let be a topological space and the set of subsets of ordered by inclusion. The map sending to its interior is an interior operator: the interior lies in , grows with , and is open, so taking it twice changes nothing. On , the map is deflationary and monotone but not idempotent, since . A map is an interior operator on if and only if it is a closure operator on the dual of . On a power set, is an interior operator for each closure operator . Other names are kernel operator and dual closure operator.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
