Statistics Inference for stochastic processes and time series Concept
Autocorrelation function
Summary
The autocorrelation function of a weakly stationary process gives, for each lag , the correlation between and . It summarizes the linear dependence in a time series in one function of the lag. Its sample version is the first tool for identifying a time series model.
