Delta derivative on a time scale
Builds on Time-scale calculusClosed set
Definition
Let be a time scale, that is, a nonempty closed subset of . Let for , with when . Let be without if this maximum exists and , and otherwise. Let and . A number is the delta derivative of at if the following holds. For every there is such that for all with . Then is called delta differentiable at .
Remarks
This is the derivative of time-scale calculus; when it exists it is unique. Example: on , ; with the only admissible is , and the condition holds exactly for . Non-example: on , and the condition says that is differentiable at with ; so has no delta derivative at . If and is continuous at , then . If and is not isolated from the right, then when this limit exists.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
