Closed set
Builds on Topological spaceOpen setComplement
Definition
Let be a topological space. A subset of is closed in when its complement is open in .
Remarks
The sets and are both open and closed. A set can be neither open nor closed: in is an example. In a metric space, is closed if and only if it contains the limits of its convergent sequences.

What this page needs for W2
- edge instance_of in: one example (0 of 1)
- edge not_instance_of in: one non-example that fails one clause (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
