Continuity at a point
Builds on Limit of a function
Definition
Let , let be a function, and let . The function is continuous at if the following holds. For each open interval containing there is an open interval containing with for all .
Remarks
If is a limit point of , then is continuous at if and only if . See limit of a function.
If is an isolated point of , then each function on is continuous at .
The epsilon-delta form states the same condition with numbers.
Mathlib defines it for topological spaces, as ContinuousAt.
